Food Allergy Awareness Week - DJJD royalty participating in special event

Gov. Pawlenty has declared this week (May 10-16) Food Allergy Awareness Week. There will be a Food Allergy Awareness Rally from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday May 16 at the Burnhaven Library in Burnsville, just off County Road 42.

The rally is also the kickoff for the Inaugural Food Allergy Awareness Walk being held June 6, 2009, at the Mall of America. T.C. Bear, the Minnesota Twins mascot will be the grand Marshall for the walk and our very own Defeat of Jesse James Days Royalty will be in attendance at the walk. Both events are sponsored by AFAA — Anaphylaxis and Food Allergy Association of Minnesota (www.minnesotafoodallergy.org), which means that all money raised at the walk will stay in Minnesota to help people with food allergies here in Minnesota.
